I went searching for one particular waterfall in rural Oregon and ended up on an adjacent valley driving down dirt roads through eerie clear cut forests. I was so taken back and inspired by the barren landscape I decided to shoot it. I think the contrast of the life, death, growth and new beginnings was an opportunity for expressing life.
